Jamal Musiala returned to full training with Bayern Munich on Tuesday, ending five and a half months out with an ankle injury sustained in July.

The 22-year-old suffered a fractured fibula and a dislocated left ankle after a heavy collision with Gianluigi Donnarumma in the Club World Cup quarter-final on 5 July, which ended 0-2. According to Bild, he was greeted by a guard of honour at a behind-closed-doors session.

The midfielder resumed rehabilitation and individual work at the end of October.

The timeline outlined in autumn pointed to a January return, so this comeback is on schedule.

Musiala has 40 caps for Germany.
