James Maddison was taken off on a stretcher with his head in his hands to hand Tottenham a huge injury concern ahead of the new season.
The midfielder was a late substitute in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle, a pre-season friendly in South Korea in which saw captain Heung-min Son bid an emotional farewell after 10 years at Spurs.
Maddison pulled up off the ball after attempting a challenge and immediately put his hands to his head.
He then collapsed to the pitch in agony and remained there until he was taken off on a stretcher. His Spurs team-mates looked distraught.

The injury to Maddison is a major worry for Spurs ahead of the new season.
Dejan Kulusevski will miss the start of the season and Spurs missed out on Morgan Gibbs-White, meaning Thomas Frank was already short of creative players.
Maddison missed the end of last season with a knee injury and had been targeting a return to full fitness and an injury-free run in the team.
Thomas Frank will provide an update on Maddison but he is now a major doubt for the start of the season.
Spurs face Paris Saint-Germain in the Super Cup next Wednesday before kicking off the new Premier League season at home to Burnley next Saturday.
