Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has made a sacking comment about a Chelsea coach, but it might not even be far-fetched.
It comes off the back of Chelsea drawing 2-2 at home against Bournemouth in their final game of 2025 last night in what was another miserable result and performance from The Blues.
Enzo Maresca even dipped out of the press conference after the game due to feeling unwell, even though he had just coached on the side lines all game and was seen out applauding the fans and walking the pitch after the final whilst.
There were boos and jeers from a pretty big section of Chelsea supporters at full time and after being at Stamford Bridge myself on Saturday in our 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa, I can confirm that this was the second game in a row where you could hear boos at full time. It’s really not good.

Enzo Maresca will be under huge pressure now and I don’t think it’s far-fetched to wonder whether Chelsea might sack him today in the aftermath of this game and recent form. Deep down I don’t think they will, yet, but it’s certainly not impossible.
Jamie Carragher though, was not talking about Maresca, he was speaking about Chelsea’s set piece coach and really, it’s a bit of a tongue in cheek comment after Chelsea conceded two goals to long throw ins last night!
Carragher joked that the set-piece coach at Stamford Bridge could receive his marching orders. He said: “Maybe Chelsea will sack their set-piece coach tomorrow as well.”
Chelsea’s set piece coach is Bernado Cueva, who they took from Brentford earlier this season of course.
