Gunners are back on front foot in title race as Everton battle to valiant draw
Jamie Carragher has revealed when he thinks Arsenal will win the Premier League title.
Control of the title race has fallen back into the Gunners’ hands after their rivals Manchester City were held to a surprise 3-3 draw by Everton, who scored all of their goals in a frenetic 13-minute window in the second half.
City came into the affair with two games in hand and six points to make up, but now find themselves five points adrift with just one more match left to play and Pep Guardiola admitted post-match that the title race was no longer in his hands.
As such, Carragher thinks Arsenal can all but confirm their status as champions should they beat West Ham next time out.
Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: “From an Arsenal perspective, tonight is about the league, but can you imagine the stadium tomorrow [for the CL semi-final second leg]?

“The excitement for the competition, the energy from the fans that will be in that stadium. To get to a Champions League final, the league is in your hands with three games to go.
“If Arsenal win against West Ham next Sunday, they win the league.
“[When Everton led City 3-1], you thought 'game over, title over'. Mikel Arteta was getting his bottles of champagne out for David Moyes, they were being wrapped!”
He added the further point that City must visit Bournemouth next up, who are unbeaten in their last 16 matches: “It's a tough away game, they [Bournemouth] are in great form.”
The Gunners, of course, also remain in contention to lift the Champions League this season and will face Atletico Madrid in the semi-final second-leg on Tuesday evening.
