Jamie Vardy’s mischief is front and centre in a new Netflix documentary, as the 39-year-old insists on using a penis-shaped bottle opener on camera.

According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, Untold UK: Jamie Vardy will be released worldwide on Netflix on Tuesday, 12 May. The former Leicester City favourite now plays for Serie A club Cremonese.

Before the interview begins, he asks for a beer, points the crew to a cupboard stocked with Modelos, then requests a large wooden phallic bottle opener from a drawer. He pops the cap and settles in for the conversation.

Vardy was central to Leicester’s 2016 Premier League title and scored 200 goals in 500 appearances for the Foxes before heading to Italy last summer. His career has always carried a rebellious, unconventional streak.

His autobiography details a 2015-16 pre-match ritual of sipping port from a small plastic water or Lucozade bottle the night before games, followed by three cans of Red Bull. He wrote that it tasted like Ribena and helped him switch off to sleep.
