Nine senior players are away on World Cup duty, and Jardim has recently said he pays particular attention to youth development at Flamengo and across his previous clubs, describing it as a hallmark of his career.

Several prospects are now set to train with the senior squad. The travelling party departs on 28 June.

Friendlies are slated for three or four July against Falkirk, eight July versus Birmingham, and 11 July against Benfica, with the return on 12 July.
