Fabrizio Romano reports that Jarell Quansah’s long awaited move to Bayer Leverkusen should be completed early next week. The 22-year-old is due in Leverkusen for a medical on Monday. Quansah will then be officially unveiled by his new Bundesliga club.
The news on the scheduled medical isn’t particularly surprising. It remained common knowledge that Quansah would head to Westphalia after the conclusion of England’s participation in the UEFA U21 Euros. Quansah and the English U21s are set to face the German U21s in the Final this evening.

Regarding the final package that has been negotiated, Romano sticks to his originally quoted figures of a €35 base-transfer-fee plus €6m in performance-related add ons. Romano does have some new news to report on Liverpool’s rumored buyback clause.
Per the Italian transfer expert, the Premier League champions can re-capture Quansah for a fee of around €70m. If Quansah meets certain performance metrics, however, he can cost the Reds upwards of €82m.
