Jarred Gillett will referee Tottenham Hotspur vs Leeds United on Monday after the Premier League confirmed their latest appointments.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, he will be assisted by Neil Davies and Steve Meredith, with Tom Kirk as fourth official and Craig Pawson on VAR duties.
Daniel Farke’s side head to London having all but secured survival after Friday’s 3-1 win at Burnley, when Anton Stach, Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored to take them to 43 points. They will be mathematically safe if West Ham lose to Arsenal on Sunday.
Tottenham, despite back-to-back wins, remain in the relegation battle. A 2-1 victory at Aston Villa lifted them out of the bottom three, yet they are only one point above West Ham in 18th, with Leeds set to visit both clubs at their home grounds.
Gillett has overseen 20 Premier League matches this season, averaging 19.85 fouls and 3.55 yellow cards per game. Leeds have two draws and two defeats under him in the league and he also took charge of last month’s FA Cup semi-final loss to Chelsea.
That display was rated 4/10 and described as infuriatingly inconsistent, with Leeds frequently cautioned for soft fouls and unable to prevent Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez taking a tactical injury timeout. In early November, Farke voiced frustration at what he felt was a key error from Gillett, arguing a free-kick against Anton Stach that led to Nottingham Forest’s second goal in a 3-1 defeat should not have been awarded.
