Eintracht Frankfurt have unveiled their 2026-27 away kit with Jay-Jay Okocha centre stage, bringing back the white eagle set against black on the club crest.
According to L'Équipe, a short launch video outlines the shirt’s features and confirms the badge’s nod to the emblem used between 1977 and 1998.
The shirt is white with understated black trim on the collar and sleeves, taking direct inspiration from the strip worn for the club’s third German Cup triumph in 1981.
The throwback arrives after a testing 2025-26 campaign in which Frankfurt finished eighth in the Bundesliga and went out in the second round of the cup.
Okocha spent four seasons with Eintracht from 1992 to 1996, scoring 25 goals in 116 appearances before moves to Fenerbahçe from 1996 to 1998 and Paris Saint-Germain from 1998 to 2002.
The former Nigeria international, capped 73 times with 14 goals, narrates a message that the eagle never truly left, describing how supporters kept the symbol alive in the stands and in their songs.
