Daniel Jebbison gave the Blades the lead in the 23rd minute as he fired an effort past Millwall goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski.

Bogle then extended United’s advantage as his deflected effort looped into the back of the net.

Following the break, Millwall tried to find a way back into the clash as Zian Flemming and Andreas Voglsammer narrowly missed the target and Danny McNamara forced Adam Davies into a save.

Billy Sharp nearly added a third for the Blades in the closing stages of this clash his effort was cleared off the line.

Paul Heckingbottom’s side will discover who they are set to play in the fourth round of the FA Cup this afternoon.

Reflecting on his side’s latest victory on Instagram, Bogle has admitted that he believes it was a top performance by the Blades.

The defender posted: “Next round.

“Goal.

“Fantastic support Blades.”

The Verdict

When you consider that Millwall had managed to secure eight points from their last four league games, the Blades’ ability to outclass Gary Rowett’s side in the FA Cup yesterday was very impressive.

Handed a chance to showcase his talent in this fixture, Bogle managed to produce a promising performance against the Lions.

As well as scoring his first goal of the season yesterday, the defender helped his side keep a clean-sheet at The Den.

With the Blades set to take on Stoke City in the Championship on January 14th, it will be interesting to see whether Bogle is given the nod to start in this particular fixture.

The 22-year-old is currently competing with George Baldock for the right wing-back role.

Whereas Bogle has only made four league appearances this season due to injury, Baldock has featured on 24 occasions at this level and was selected to feature in the club’s recent draw with Queens Park Rangers.
