Jean-Claude Darcheville and Javier Pastore to star in Lorient centenary legends match

L'Équipe reports that FC Lorient will stage a legends match at Stade du Moustoir on six April at 15:00 as part of the club’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

The Merlus’ line-up is set to include Kevin Gameiro, Jérémy Morel, Christophe Jallet, Laurent Koscielny and Fabien Audard. Members of the 2002 Coupe de France-winning side, among them Jean-Claude Darcheville, Arnaud Le Lan and Pascal Feindouno, are also due to feature.

The opposition will be a team of heroes made up of former internationals and Ligue 1 stalwarts. Yoann Gourcuff, Javier Pastore, Robert Pirès, Souleymane Diawara, Benoît Costil, Sidney Govou and Daniel Van Buyten are among those who have agreed to take part.

They will be joined by artists and content creators to round out the occasion.

Ticket sales open on 24 February.
