Jean Michaël Seri claims OGC Nice lied about the fees involved in his summer move to Fulham.

Seri signed for the Cottagers in July and was soon joined in west London by his former Nice team-mate Maxime Le Marchand.

But according to reports in France, the midfielder believes Nice undervalued his transfer fee and inflated Le Marchand’s in order to save on an amount of money owed to him as part of the deal.

“Mr Seri thinks that Nice is guilty of grossly under-valuing his transfer fee and therefore making a significant saving on his bonus,” Jean-Louis Dupont and Martin Hissel, Seri’s lawyers, told L’Equipe on Saturday.

Seri’s move to Fulham was worth a reported €30m but the 27-year-old’s lawyers claim the fee was only actually €11.2m.

Le Marchand, meanwhile, cost a reported €4m, but the actual transfer fee is alleged to have been €16.4m.

Seri and his lawyers are reportedly keen to begin a legal battle with his former employers.
