Andree Jeglertz has praised Arsenal for their consistency ahead of Man City’s visit to Emirates Stadium.

Jeglertz, who arrived in the Women’s Super League at the start of the season, voiced his admiration for Arsenal before his side take on the club who won the first ever FIFA Champions Cup last week.

Asked about their achievements and consistency, he said: “There’s a lot of things I definitely admire in that club.

“Just look at all the games at home and how many people are coming to their stands and watching, and how they have built that team and how it’s grown.

“So definitely there’s a lot of things that Arsenal has been the benchmark for the football in this country and in Europe also, so very impressed by that.”

Off the back of Manchester City’s impressive thumping of defending WSL champions Chelsea, the head coach praised his side’s drive to compete and togetherness as a squad.

“We have a great group that likes to be together with each other, but there also has to be this competition part, want to win, do everything to win,” he said. “Everybody in the group needs to have that.”

As for the squad that he will have available, Jeglertz said that Auba Fujino would not in the squad having picked up a concussion against Chelsea. There were no other new injury concerns, and the head coach was positive about the return of Mary Fowler, who made her first appearance since April 2025 against Chelsea after an ACL injury.

“Of course it’s not easy for her to come in and play, but it’s also for her to find the right timing,” he said. “She has been away for a long time and now she’s back, but she’s in a good way.”
