Andrée Jeglertz has been shortlisted for Women’s Coach of the Year at the 2026 Ballon d’Or awards.

The Swede is included on the list after guiding City to the most successful season in our professional history.

Considered the most prestigious individual awards ceremonies in world football, City have also been shortlisted for the Club of the Year gong, with this year’s event set to take place in London on Monday 26 October.

Jeglertz became the Club’s Head Coach ahead of the 2025/26 campaign and guided the Blues to the WSL title in his debut campaign, ending a ten-year wait for the league crown.

We equalled our best-ever points haul in the process and also maintained a 100% record on home soil in the WSL for the first time in our history.

Leading the way since early November, City dropped just 11 points across the entire campaign and sealed top spot with a game to spare, ending Chelsea’s six-year hold on the title.

The Swede’s three consecutive Manager of the Month awards between October and December also broke new ground in the WSL, with the Manager of the Season award deservedly following at the end of the campaign.

City enjoyed similar success in the FA Cup, with a 4-0 win at Wembley over Brighton & Hove Albion in May 2026 sealing a historic double.

The Blues beat AFC Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Birmingham City and, thanks to a dramatic late turnaround, Chelsea to book our spot in the final against the Seagulls.

And we once again delivered in that showpiece occasion, with goals from Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Alex Greenwood, Aoba Fujino and Vivianne Miedema all on target as we claimed the FA Cup for a fourth time in our history.
