Andrée Jeglertz has been nominated for October’s Barclays Women’s Super League Manager of the Month award.

It’s the second time our Head Coach has been shortlisted, having missed out on September’s prize to Chelsea’s Sonia Bompastor.

However, City’s 100% record across October in the WSL has seen Jeglertz recognised once again after the Blues’ wins over Arsenal and Liverpool.

First, goals from Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Kerstin Casparij and Iman Beney earned City a hard-fought 3-2 win over the Gunners at the Joie Stadium.

We followed that up with a second half fightback at Anfield, with Beney once again on target before Aoba Fujino’s late effort sealed all three points on Merseyside.

Those victories mean we’ve now won five WSL matches in a row and sit just one point and one place behind league leaders Chelsea heading into the first international break.

City have scored more goals than any other side in the English top flight so far this season (17) with nine different players contributing to that tally, which is also a league high.

Andrée faces competition from London City Lionesses’ Jocelyn Precheur for October’s award.
