Jens Stage has confirmed he wants to take the next step this summer, with TSG Hoffenheim interested in the Werder Bremen midfielder. A move in the coming window appears increasingly likely.
Reports suggest the 29-year-old has agreed personal terms with Hoffenheim, though the clubs have not reached a deal and an initial offer of a reported €9 million was turned down.
“There are a lot of rumours, and that’s fair enough,” Stage said. “To be completely honest, it has always been the plan for me that this transfer window would be an opportunity to look for a move that me and my family see as even more attractive than Werder Bremen. So I’m taking it all calmly.”
He was speaking to Danish broadcaster TV 2.
Stage has been at Werder since 2022. He scored 10 goals in 29 appearances in the 2025/26 season, finishing as the club’s top scorer.
