In the final preparatory game for OGC Nice before the start of the season, the club were confronted with a worrying situation as Jérémie Boga (27) pulled up injured clutching his thigh during the 1-0 loss to Ipswich Town.
L’Équipe reports that the injury is thought to be not as serious as the one suffered by Terem Moffi (25) at the end of July. Moffi will be for the foreseeable future and will miss most of the new campaign after he ruptured his ACL.
However, Boga is an important first-team player for the club and he could be unavailable for the start of the new campaign which begins Nice with a trip next Sunday to newly promoted AJ Auxerre.
The absence of Boga and Moffi together will be a serious concern for new manager Franck Haise who will be hoping that he can get Les Aiglons off to a flying start after radical changes swept the club over the summer.
