Jesse Bisiwu names Barcelona star who has impressed him most: ‘He is a role model’ | OneFootball

FC Barcelona had a very busy 2026 summer transfer window, in which they reinforced almost all the areas of their team with new, exciting signings. They brought in several top-class players, including the likes of Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi, Rodri Hernandez, Joao Cancelo, and Gabriel Jesus.

Meanwhile, they also signed some highly promising youngsters. Two names that stand out in this regard are Hamza Abdelkarim and Jesse Bisiwu, and both of these players are expected to have great careers ahead. The Egyptian is already ahead, as he continues to remain a part of Hansi Flick’s team, while the Belgian has played for the reserve team in the last few weeks.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, Bisiwu, who is currently training with the Belgian U-21 team, recently talked to the media, and shared his first impressions of the Blaugrana team. The youngster was clear about which player has impressed him the most:

The Belgian picked two names when asked about who was the most technically gifted player in the squad:

“I would say Pedri or Lamine.”

Bisiwu talked about how his adaptation to the club has gone:

“Very well. They have welcomed me very well. I have been able to speak with the captain and the manager, and I have felt very comfortable.”

The youngster was also clear that joining Barcelona has had a big impact on him personally:

“Yes, I feel that my status has changed because joining Barça, signing for Barça, is no small matter, and I have been able to feel that impact.”

When asked about his future at the Belgian national team, Bisiwu assured that he is focused on the U-21 team for now, while also revealing what Marc van Bommel, the Belgian national team coach, has told him:

“I’m focused on the Under-21s at the moment… He told me to be ready, that he sees me as ready, but we will see in the future.”

Jesse Bisiwu has only recently embarked on an important new chapter in his life, as he joined one of the biggest clubs in Europe. Hopefully he will adapt soon and make his debut with the first team, and continue enjoying a lot of success with both Barcelona and the Belgian national team.
