Highly-rated forward is destined for a spell on the continent after agreeing a new deal
Standard Sport understands that Derry, who made his Premier League debut for the Blues last season, has signed fresh terms until 2032, just a year after joining the club from Crystal Palace.
The 19-year-old is then expected to join Portuguese side Sporting on loan, though a deal has not yet been finalised.
Derry made his senior debut off the bench during their 4-0 FA Cup win over Hull City in February, before starting for the Blues as they were beaten 3-1 by Nottingham Forest in May.
Starting on the left wing, Derry impressed against Forest before he was forced off on a stretcher shortly before half time following a clash of heads with Zach Abbott.

Chelsea signed the hotly-tipped youngster from Palace last summer, placing him in the club’s academy.
After netting 19 goals in 23 matches for the club’s Under-18 side last season, Derry has been moved up the ranks, featuring for the Under-21s in the Premier League 2 and UEFA Youth League.
His form for the Blues’ youth teams was then rewarded with first-team exposure under Liam Rosenior and later interim manager Calum McFarlane.
Derry made three appearances in all competitions for the first team last season, and he is expected to get more senior experience and potential Champions League exposure on loan at the Jose Alvalade Stadium.
Chelsea enjoy a strong relationship with the Liga Portugal outfit and are set to welcome £40million signing Geovany Quenda to their ranks after striking a deal for the teenager last summer.
