FC Barcelona end the first game of their preseason tour with a victory over Vissel Kobe. Initially a tough game for both sides, the Catalan giants eventually took over control and began to dominate. Ultimately, the scoreline reflects the win for Barcelona well enough.

A 3-1 victory, it saw goals from Eric Garcia, Roony Bardghji, and Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernandez clinch the win for La Blaugrana with both debutants scoring in the second half. While the team in the first half struggled a bit, the team deployed in the second half dominated the game quite well.

Joan Garcia: 8.0

Great first showing from the summer signing. He made some important saves, and it was mainly due to the negligence of his own defenders that Vissel Kobe was able to score during the first half.

Eric Garcia: 8.0

Strong in his duels, Eric Garcia had a solid showing in the first half. He also scored the opener.

Pau Cubarsi: 5.5

Had an error that led to goal, and his passing was not at its best either.

Inigo Martinez: 6.0

Good in his duels and a bit more commanding than Cubarsi in this game.

Alejandro Balde: 6.5

Always eager to make runs forward and drive the ball to create opportunities and space for his teammates.

Pedri: 8.0

Always in control and never hurried, Pedri played the game at his own pace and created good chances for his teammates.

Gavi: 7.0

Agile and quick, Gavi had good linkup with his teammates and was secure on the ball.

Lamine Yamal: 5.5

Struggled to beat his man with his dribbling and his passing was not exactly at its sharpest either.

Eager to link up with his teammates and also added tenacity to the game whenever it was needed.

Created some good openings for himself and posed a real threat to the Japanese side.

Isolated and did not get a lot of opportunities to test the Vissel Kobe goalkeeper.

The Polish goalkeeper did not have much to do.

Did well in his duels and looked sharp enough.

Exciting and energetic, Marcus Rashford put in a shift during his time on the pitch and it was great to see.
