The chef from Girona has visited the Girona locker room to feature in a new episode of the red-and-white podcast. Considered one of the most influential chefs in the world and an ambassador of Catalan cuisine, Joan Roca was one of the key figures in the initial launch of the Orgull Gironí campaign. The video showcases some of the most influential personalities from the province.

“I think it’s an incident that happens in restaurants when you combine flammable elements”

The chef stated this in one of his first appearances after the two recent fires that affected two of the brothers' restaurants, believing them to be accidental incidents.

“We’ve been offered to take El Celler to many places, but we’ve never wanted to leave Girona”

This is how he explains the emotional bond that all three brothers have with their homeland. Additionally, he shared the anecdote that when they cannot attend the stadium, they set up a big screen in the kitchen to follow the matches of the Girona team. El Celler de Can Roca will celebrate its 40th anniversary next year.
