João Cancelo has moved closer to a Barcelona return after a social media hint, and Mundo Deportivo reports he will join for free as Al-Hilal sign Marc Casadó, for a fee below 40 million euros.

The 32-year-old shared a picture of himself from behind in a Barcelona shirt, an hourglass alongside, signalling that a comeback to the Spotify Camp Nou is only a matter of time.

Barcelona had agreed a 10 million euros fee weeks ago, although demands were said in recent days to have risen to 15 million.

Inzaghi left him out of Al-Hilal's opening match against Al-Faisaly last Friday. He continues to train routinely with the team, and his future has been left to the management.

Al-Hilal currently have 13 foreign players in their squad, while regulations allow only 10 to be registered.

Hansi Flick, impressed by Cancelo's loan spell in the second half of the campaign, has given the go-ahead for a permanent signing. Barcelona and Cancelo have finalised their agreement, with Al-Hilal's approval now needed to complete the deal.
