João Félix set out his recipe for success after starring for Jorge Jesus’s Al Nassr, saying maturity and composure have underpinned his form.
"This comes with maturity. I am not new to the game anymore, I know how to handle these situations," said the Portugal international after ending his goal drought with a brace in the 5-0 win over Al Khaleej. He was speaking to the league’s official media.
"If I am not scoring, it is fine. It happens. I have to stay relaxed because the goals will come."
"Of course we know the results of our direct rivals, but we are first. If we do our job, we will be champions. We only depend on ourselves and that is what we are focused on."
Félix has 21 goals and 14 assists this campaign. He has played 37 competitive matches for Al Nassr, 26 in the Saudi league, seven in the Asian Champions League 2, two in the Saudi Cup and two in the Super Cup, totalling 2,926 minutes. He is valued at 25 million euros.
