João Pedro inspired Chelsea to go from 2-1 down and win 3-2 against Antonio Conte's Napoli.

The visitors took the lead from the penalty spot with a potential hint of fortune about the awarding of the penalty. Reece James' freekick hit the wall with an arm getting in the way that led to Enzo Fernández converting from the spot.

Napoli upped the pressure on Antonio Conte's former club and equalised with just over a half hour gone through a moment of skill when the home side won the ball in the Chelsea half with Antonio Vergara showing great skill to bypass the Chelsea defence and pass the ball into the corner of the net. Liam Rosenior won't be too happy with how easily Vergara was able to get past his defenders.

The turnaround was complete just before half-time after a low cross from Mathías Oliveira was converted by Rasmus Hojlund – still on loan from Manchester United – to finish from close range.

Chelsea equalised with just over an hour gone through an excellent strike as João Pedro picked up the ball on the edge of the area and fired into the corner for his 10th of the season and his third in his last four games.

The Brazilian showed his confidence to put Chelsea back into the lead 40 minutes after they initially fell behind. This time João Pedro drove forward before placing into the bottom corner.

That capped a superb turnaround for the Blues who for a while looked like they could have had a difficult night in Italy but instead booked their place through in the top eight of teams.
