Joaquin Panichelli’s agent confirms Milan interest in Strasbourg striker | OneFootball

The agent of Strasbourg attacker Joaquin Panichelli, Martin Guastadisegno, confirmed that AC Milan’s interest in his client is not new.

Speaking to MilanPress (via Calciomercato.com), Guastadisegno addressed the rumors linking the 23-year-old forward to a move to San Siro in the January transfer window. While admitting there had been no recent communication, he stressed that Milan’s scouting of the player is well-established, offering the following full quote:

“No news with Milan. At the moment, I haven’t heard from anyone despite having a great relationship with Furlani and Moncada. Contacts in recent weeks? None, but it is a name that Milan knows and has been following for a long time.”

Panichelli, who came through the River Plate youth system, has scored 10 goals this season. He is currently valued at approximately €25 million and is under contract with Strasbourg, a club owned by Chelsea magnate Todd Boehly, until 2030.

Milan is reportedly looking for a new center-forward after their previous signing, Santiago Gimenez, failed to live up to expectations. There have been suggestions that the Mexican has two months to save his Milan career and this will prove key regarding Panichelli’s future as well.
