Jocelyn Blanchard emerges as favourite for Troyes sporting director

Jocelyn Blanchard could replace Antoine Sibierski as sporting director at Troyes, who are back in Ligue 1.

According to L'Équipe, the 54-year-old, formerly sporting director at RC Lens, director of football at Dunkerque and a club executive at Seraing, could arrive quickly.

Troyes have been searching for a new sporting director for several weeks following Sibierski's departure.

Bafétimbi Gomis was long among the leading contenders, but the former international will not take the job.

In recent days Blanchard has emerged as the clear favourite for the role, and there have been suggestions of a swift appointment.
