Manchester United put in a decent performance despite being held to a 1-1 draw with Leeds United on Sunday afternoon.

It was a challenging day for Man United, given how many key players were unavailable through injury or due to playing in AFCON.

Despite being understaffed, United did well to dominate much of the gameplay, responding almost immediately after going a goal down.

During this tight match, several United players emerged as gamechangers.

Stars of the match

Former United midfielder Owen Hargreaves heaped praise on Joshua Zirkzee, who produced an impressive performance off the bench, which included a crucial assist.

In addition, United’s goal scorer, Matheus Cunha, was acknowledged for his contributions by Rio Ferdinand.

But one of the most intriguing observations from a pundit actually came from former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

A sneaky prediction comes true

Before the match kicked off, Hart seemed to already know that Cunha would prove critical to United.

“He brings that spark. There’s no doubt he’s got talent. He gets people on the edge of the seat,” Hart observed while speaking to TNT Sports.

“That’s what you want when you’re a Manchester United player, especially when you’re a big signing,” the former England goalkeeper continued.

Interestingly, Hart’s observation of Cunha proved accurate as the Brazilian drew United level with a slick goal following a rapid counter-attack.

Hopefully, Cunha can remain an impactful star as United look to compete for Champions League football this season.
