Joe Rodon believes new arrival Harry Wilson could take on a leadership role at Leeds United as the winger settles at Elland Road.

Wilson joined last week on a free transfer, signing a four-year deal after his best Premier League season for Fulham, with 10 goals and seven assists in 36 matches. He reported for pre-season testing alongside Daniel James, Ethan Ampadu and Rodon, and will hope to replicate that form at Leeds.

"Knowing H for a number of years, I think he's kind of grown into that leadership role as well, especially with the national team. Just kind of his maturity as well with the game." He told LUTV.

"Everyone's seen him, he's grown massively as a player on the pitch. But off it, I think he has stepped into more of a leadership role."

Wilson will have around one week to bed in before joining the squad on a pre-season tour of the USA. Leeds begin against Wrexham in Tampa next Saturday, then face Sunderland and Liverpool in New Jersey and Chicago respectively.

"It's important to share that with everyone, the Leeds fans are everywhere." "It's always good to travel around the world and of course share the brand. Leeds is massive and we're looking forward to it."

After those games, the latter on August two, Leeds return to host RB Leipzig on August eight, before a potential reunion with Karl Darlow the following week after his move to Manchester United. They face Manchester United in Dublin on August twelve, then host FC Augsburg three days later.
