Joelinton them missing due to his knee injury, not featuring in the matchday squads against Arsenal (second leg), Birmingham and Man City.

However, that doesn’t change the fact that Newcastle United fans have been left wondering whether Joelinton will be back in time for a certain game on Sunday 16 March…

Now The Mail have given an update.

They report that their information is that Joelinton has been ‘pencilled in’ to make his comeback for the Brighton FA Cup match in nine days time, that game on Sunday 2 March, exactly two weeks before the Carabao Cup final.

That would mean him missing the Forest and Liverpool (Premier League) matches.

If Joelinton is back for the Brighton game on Sunday 2 March, there then is eight days before West Ham away on Monday 10 March, before six days later the match at Wembley.
