The veteran Blues will host Spurs in SW6 on March 27, 2027, in a bid to raise funds for the Chelsea Foundation, which works in communities across south-west London and Surrey to deliver workshops supporting physical and mental wellbeing and community building.

Terry has featured in such matches before, captaining Chelsea as they were handed a 1-0 defeat by a team of Liverpool legends in October 2025.

The formidable centre-back is now the first name to be confirmed for the legends’ next outing, with the remainder of the squad to be confirmed in the coming months.

John Terry is the first player confirmed for Chelsea Legends vs Tottenham Legends

Tottenham have yet to name any of their players.

Previous Chelsea legends teams have featured the likes of Petr Cech, Eden Hazard, John Obi Mikel, and Diego Costa, but it remains to be seen who will be called up in March.

A legend will also likely take to the dugout. The 2025 meeting with Liverpool saw Roberto Di Matteo reprise his role with the Blues, after leading them to Champions League glory in 2012.

Tickets for Chelsea Legends vs Tottenham Legends are already available for purchase via both clubs’ websites.

After spending the vast majority of his glittering senior career captaining Chelsea to a huge range of titles, Terry now works as a part-time consultant in Chelsea’s academy.

Terry has made no secret of his managerial aspirations, and complained publicly in February that he was not considered as a potential successor for Enzo Maresca.
