Trailblazer Alex Williams will host a 'Walk with a Legend' Tour of the Etihad Stadium this Sunday.
Born and raised in Manchester just a stone's throw from our former home Maine Road, Williams became the first Black goalkeeper to play in the top-flight in 1980.
A pioneer for Black footballers in England and a goalkeeper on his way to the top before injury forced his early retirement, Alex instead went on to inspire and enrich the lives of so many in his role with City in the Community.
He retired from that work in 2023 but has remained a familiar face around the Club and ever popular figure amongst our fans.
Now, as part of our Black History Month celebrations for 2025, Alex will lead a special tour of the Etihad Stadium - telling his memories and stories having been such a key part of our history.
Starting at 15:45 (UK) this Sunday, tickets for the tour are available now by clicking here.
As well as hearing from Alex, you'll also take in all the most immersive tour in the Premier League - going behind-the-scenes at our iconic home.
This month is an opportunity to focus on and celebrate the contributions and achievements of Black people throughout the Club.
Our Premier League game against Everton at the Etihad Stadium on 18 October will also take place during the Premier League’s No Room for Racism window.
