Jonathan David (25) has revealed his transfer preference in an interview with the It’s Called Soccer Podcast. His comments represent a blow to his multiple Premier League suitors.

David is having another strong season at Lille OSC. The Canadian netted many important goals over the course of LOSC’s UEFA Champions League, which recently came to an end following defeat to Borussia Dortmund. His performances on the European stage in particular have further enhanced his reputation.

He will be available on a free transfer in the summer with his contract at Lille expiring. The chances of him remaining with Les Dogues are minute. The centre-forward will be an attractive proposition for many clubs. He has recently been linked with the likes of West Ham United, Arsenal and Liverpool, however, he has previously revealed a dream to play for Barcelona.

David has now revealed his transfer preference. “I think I can adapt to every league. Every league has its differences. The Premier League is a lot faster and more physical than all of the other leagues. But for me, I grew up watching a lot of La Liga and for me, that would be my preferred league. That is the league that I enjoyed watching the most so one day I would like to play there,” said the LOSC forward.
