Jonathan Tah signs for Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich confirmed on Thursday that they have signed Jonathan Tah on a free transfer from fellow German club Bayer Leverkusen.

The 29-year-old German international has agreed to a four-year deal with Bayern.

Tah spent a decade at Leverkusen, where he was part of the squad that achieved an unbeaten domestic double, winning both the Bundesliga and the German Cup, during the 2023-24 season under head coach Xabi Alonso, who recently took over at Real Madrid.

A product of the Hamburger SV youth academy, Tah began his professional career there before joining Leverkusen in 2015. He made 402 appearances for the club.

Since making his debut for Germany in 2016, Tah has earned 35 caps for the national team.
