Kicker report that Jonjoe Kenny will join Hertha Berlin on a three-year contract until 2025.
The 25-year-old will join the Bundesliga club from Everton on a free transfer when his contract expires on June 30 and obligatory medical checks have taken place.
Kenny’s medical examination is expected to take place on Tuesday with an official announcement soon to follow.
The Englishman spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Schalke, playing 31 Bundesliga games for the Royal Blues.
Kenny’s arrival will strengthen the right-back position, an area that Hertha have struggled with since the departures of Valentino Lazaro and Mitchell Weiser whilst Hertha are looking for a buyer for Dutchman Deyovaisio Zeefuik, who has spent the last six months on loan at Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
The former Everton, Schalke and Celtic defender will be Hertha’s second signing of the summer after confirming the arrival of Filip Uremović from Rubin Kazan on a free transfer.
