Jordan Ayew is being lined up for a move to Blackburn Rovers after his Leicester City exit in the summer. LeicesterMercury.co.uk reports that the free agent is expected to reach an agreement to move to Ewood Park.

The 34-year-old has been without a club since his King Power Stadium deal expired. He made 80 appearances for the Foxes, scoring 12, during a period that included back-to-back relegations to League One.

He featured for Ghana at the World Cup after the 2025/26 season but has yet to find a new home. The report adds that Blackburn have been scouring the free-agent market and Ayew has emerged as an option.

Ayew played 42 Championship matches for Leicester last term, with six goals and three assists.

Tony Mowbray has two senior strikers available in Andri Gudjohnsen and Yuki Ohashi, with Augustus Kargbo sidelined. Rovers sit 16th after five games, and a 2-1 defeat at Preston North End extended a three-match winless run following an August win over Middlesbrough.

After a lean window, Blackburn have 23 senior players registered, leaving room for two further additions.
