Mohamed Salah’s final Liverpool appearance against Brentford carries a heavy emotional charge. Goals, assists, trophies and memories have defined his Anfield years, yet Jordan Henderson has focused on something deeper, Salah’s character.
Speaking to The Redmen TV, Henderson said: “Mo is a very unique person, so you know, when he walks down the street, it’s not the same as a lot of other players really, you know.
“Mo is on another level of wherever you go, there is a lot of people that want to see him and speak to him and take a picture and how he handles all of that is amazing really.
“[He’s] so humble and so respectful to other people, I think that is a really unique thing for me and a big strength of his that he has.”
For Liverpool supporters, those words matter. Henderson shared years with Salah inside a dressing room built on standards, sacrifice and relentless ambition.
Whether Salah starts against Brentford remains uncertain. Arne Slot refused to reveal his selection plans, saying: “I never say anything about team selection.”

Slot also addressed Salah’s recent social media activity, saying: “I don’t think it is that important what I feel about it. What is important is that we qualify for the Champions League on Sunday and I prepare Mo and the whole team in the best possible way for the game.
“I was very disappointed after our loss against Villa because a win would have given us qualification for the Champions League, which we didn’t get. Now there’s one game to go which is a vital one for us as a club.
“We both want what’s best for the club, we both want the club to be successful and that’s the main aim.
For Salah, this is more than a goodbye. It is a final chapter at Liverpool, shaped by greatness, scrutiny and admiration. Henderson’s tribute reminds everyone why Salah’s impact stretches beyond numbers.
