According to as.com, Osasuna have agreed a three-year extension with centre-back Jorge Herrando to 30 June 2030, lifting his release clause from 12 to 20 million.
His previous contract ran to June 2027, and the parties had been in talks for several weeks. The club will hold a press conference on Thursday alongside sporting director Braulio Vázquez.
Three seasons ago he could have joined Athletic before his clause rose from three to 12 million. He was splitting time between Osasuna Promesas and the first team under Jagoba Arrasate, but no three-way agreement was reached.
Jorge Herrando Oroz, born 28 February 2001 in Campanas, Navarre, came through Tajonar after arriving from Amigó, where he was a student.
He made 94 appearances for the reserves before his first-team debut in the Copa del Rey against Tomares at La Cartuja on 15 December 2020. He later spent one season on loan at UD Logroñés.
