FC Barcelona have a team filled with budding superstars. The likes of Lamine Yamal are already up there, but it is, in any case, a very young squad brimming with talent.
Clubs often maintain good relationships with agents, which makes negotiations over new contracts or potential signings straightforward. Joan Laporta has a great relationship with Jorge Mendes, and the super-agent has helped Barcelona a lot over the years.
According to SPORT, Jorge Mendes has added yet another Barcelona first-team player to his growing portfolio, with Marc Casado the latest to switch agencies.
Lamine Yamal, Ansu Fati, and Alejandro Balde are already clients of Mendes. Casado was linked with a move away from the club in the summer, but he reiterated his desire to stay at Barcelona for a long time. This switch further underlines his intentions.
Although he is not always a starter for Hansi Flick and sits behind Pedri and Frenkie de Jong in the pecking order, Casado bleeds Blaugrana. He is a very important squad player whom the German coach relies on when one of his first-choice players needs a rest.
The former Barca Atletic captain has rapidly risen through the ranks since his breakthrough into the first team at the beginning of last season. Although not the most blessed in terms of talent, he more than makes up for it with his tenacity.
