Jorrel Hato is relishing Chelsea's Premier League clash against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

Chelsea head to the Emirates to face the current champions, looking to end a run of four straight away league defeats to Mikel Arteta's side.

After his summer appointment, Xabi Alonso is hoping to claim a first away league win against the Gunners since 2021, when Chelsea claimed a 2-0 victory.

It's been a positive start to Chelsea's campaign, with wins over Fulham and Brighton and Hove Albion in their opening league matches. Hato has started both league games, with the summer arrival Pep Chavarria still settling into his new surroundings in west London.

The 20-year-old will be keen to keep his place in the side with a start against Arsenal.

Chelsea's toughest test of the season awaits. Their record against the so-called 'big six' away from home has been problematic in recent years.

Whether they’re ready to be title challengers yet remains to be seen and that will be established in the coming months. But given the recruitment and start the Blues have made, they are certainly heading in a positive direction.

A win at the Emirates would not only continue the perfect start to the season in terms of points, making it three wins from three, it would signify a statement of intent and sign of change, as they overcome their biggest hurdle - not losing against the Gunners, who they used to have so much joy against.

The squad are looking forward to the London derby. They’ve been dangerous in attack, scoring seven goals in their opening two games, aided by the trio of Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers and Joao Pedro.

But defensively, they have also been open. Five goals conceded already and if there is any team who will look to punish errors or any openings, it is Arsenal.

That’s the aim for Chelsea. To show improvement against Arsenal, and if they can manage a clean sheet - that is a huge bonus.

Arsenal are yet to concede this season, so Chelsea will have their work cut out. Patience and ruthlessness in box boxes will be key.

Preparations are almost done, and Hato has warned Arsenal of the danger Chelsea will pose.

Previewing the trip to the Emirates, Hato told the club's in-house media: "We look at things game by game. I think we had a great start. We spoke with each other and said: 'Okay, the first week, three games has to be three wins,' and we did that. So now we're looking forward to Arsenal.

"I can't see the future, but we try to improve to not concede three goals, but we know we are very dangerous up front, that we will score goals.

"I think against Arsenal is a good test, but I think it was against Fulham and Brighton as well. They are both great teams and we won those games, so we are looking forward to the next one now."

It won’t define Chelsea’s season if they lose. But if they win, the belief of the squad will exponentially grow, knowing they’ve managed to overcome a huge hurdle so early into the season.
