According to Glorioso 1904, Anísio Cabral, 17, has been called up for Benfica’s match against Estrela da Amadora, his first inclusion in José Mourinho’s senior squad.
After he was left out of the under-19 derby with Sporting, which finished 2-2, it confirmed he could be an option for the first team.
If he features, he would become the sixth player introduced by Mourinho, following Rodrigo Rêgo, Ivan Lima, José Neto, Tiago Freitas and Daniel Banjaqui.
Cabral has made 10 appearances for the under-19s this season, scoring four. He has also played three times for the under-23s and twice in the Youth League, without scoring at those levels.
At the Under-17 World Cup he scored seven goals. He joined the Seixal academy in 2016/17.
