According to Florian Plettenberg, Jose Mourinho is keen on Allan Saint-Maximin (27) joining him at Fenerbahçe SK. The former Newcastle and OGC Nice winger is currently playing for Al-Ahli after he left the English side in 2023, but is reportedly open to returning to Europe with Fenerbahçe.
The winger was an almost ever-present fixture in Al-Ahli’s side after he made the swap to the Gulf State, where he missed only a handful of games for the club in a campaign where he recorded four goals and ten assists. After two seasons where the club has struggled to threaten the top of the table, last season was a return to form with a third place finish.
Despite this there have reportedly been concrete talks between Al-Ahli and Fenerbahçe with a loan move looking to be the most likely for the Frenchman. Saint-Maximin’s contract runs until 2026, but the Saudi Arabian side are thought to be willing to allow him to leave before then.
