Yan Diomandé has completed a 125 million euros move to Real Madrid, and a conversation with José Mourinho is said to have proved decisive.

Nathan Campbell, the player’s agent at Roc Nation, said: “The final piece was José Mourinho. He spoke to him in French, which proved decisive. We did not know Mourinho was fluent because he has never coached in France.
