Josh Maja, out of contract at West Bromwich, is expected to sign for Le Havre on a two-year deal with an option for a third, according to L'Équipe.

The Nigerian forward, formerly of Bordeaux, would return to France after three seasons in the Championship. For Bordeaux he registered 29 goals and nine assists in 93 games in all competitions.

Last season at West Bromwich, who finished 21st in the Championship out of 24 teams, he had a mixed campaign, scoring four times in 40 matches, with 15 starts.

A versatile attacker, Maja rose to wider prominence through a Netflix series focused on Sunderland.

At 27, he is expected to add experience for the Normandy club if the move is completed.
