Josha Vagnoman’s proposed deadline-day move from VfB Stuttgart to Hull City has collapsed after advanced talks, according to Sky Germany.

It marks a sharp reversal from one day earlier, when the clubs were understood to have agreed a €6.5m framework, with VfB retaining a significant portion of his future transfer rights. At that stage, the final decision still lay with the player.

Over the weekend, Hull were frustrated in a bid to sign Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Jean-Matteo Bahoya. Earlier today, the newly promoted Premier League club announced Union Berlin striker Ilyas Ansah, underlining mixed returns from their Bundesliga targets.

Vagnoman appeared to acknowledge the shift during Tuesday’s Stuttgart training session. Asked by a supporter if he would remain with VfB, he replied, “Looks like it!”.

The 25-year-old will remain with Stuttgart unless a late alternative emerges, and staying despite interest from other Premier League clubs now seems the likeliest outcome.
