According to one Chelsea insider this week, the club have now made a big decision on Andrey Santos for next season and beyond.
The Blues are expected to be busy now this summer, and we have had plenty of updates floating around this week already.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has put out his latest YouTube video at the weekend with a bunch of info in that. The main takeaway was Romano saying Chelsea are going to be in the market for a new striker, a centre back, and a winger in the summer.
And there has also been a lot of noise regarding Jadon Sancho and whether Chelsea will actually be signing him from Manchester United permanently in the summer or not. The Athletic are reporting that there is a £5m break clause fee that Chelsea can pay to send him back and terminate the loan obligation to buy.
There is also the situation of midfielder Andrey Santos who is currently out on loan with Strasbourg until the end of this season.

Some have been believing that Chelsea might sell Santos, bu that does now seem very unlikely.
Our writer Simon Phillips has written on his Substack site this week:
‘Chelsea are putting their summer plans in place and SPTC sources have reassured that those plans for next season include Andrey Santos.
‘We’ve heard that Santos is not for sale this summer and is currently going to be part of the midfield plans at the club for next season.
‘On the player side, I do know that he is keen to play regular first team football, but Chelsea hold all the cards on this one and even though no player is ever completely untouchable, our top source is very clear that Santos will not be sold this summer and the club are planning with him.’
