The Blues have previously been linked with Senesi, and are thought to be in the market for a centre back this summer.

Chelsea failed in their pursuit of Jeremy Jacquet in January, with the France under-21 opting to join Liverpool instead.

Chelsea target Marco Senesi to choose his next club

The Blues have paid the price for not signing a replacement for Levi Colwill, who suffered and ACL injury before the start of the season.

Chelsea have struggled defensively this season, and have been plagued by mistakes and poor individual errors from their defenders.

In fact the Blues have only registered four clean sheets since Liam Rosenior’s arrival, with three of those coming against Pafos, Hull City and Port Vale.

It’s been reported Chelsea are prepared to target players with more Premier League experience, and they’ve also been linked with Murillo.

However, journalist Matteo Moretto has reported Senesi is set to choose his next club, and his agents have been in contact with Chelsea.

He took to X.com and said:

“Marcos Senesi is about to choose his next team.

“His agents are in close contact with Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester United. The rest of the teams are much further away.”
