JSK - "No mistakes allowed": Josef Zinnbauer warns his players
JS Kabylie is gearing up to host ES Mostaganem in a unique atmosphere. After a successful Champions League debut in Accra, the Canaries now need to prove themselves in the league. In a press conference, Josef Zinnbauer didn't mince his words: "It's a tough match, but we can't afford any mistakes. We have to win to catch up with ESM in the standings," declared the German coach.
Uncertainties in the squad
Preparations have been disrupted by the injury to Mohamed Idir Hadid, who is struggling with a groin problem and remains doubtful for this clash. According to Compétition, Seif Benrabah could start if Hadid is ruled out. Aware of the physical limitations of some key players, Zinnbauer stressed he will prioritize those "best prepared mentally and physically," even if it means making changes to the starting eleven.
The Kabyle coach admits his side hasn't yet reached full potential: "The team is improving from match to match, and I believe we'll hit our stride in two or three weeks," he said. The lack of attacking efficiency remains a concern, but Zinnbauer is keeping faith: "Our forwards need time to get back in shape. I'm convinced our attack will be much sharper in the coming weeks."
The fans as a catalyst
Beyond tactics, the German emphasizes the crucial role of the 12th man. "A packed stadium gives the players a real energy boost. We'll need our supporters to clinch our first league win," he stressed. For the coach, the backing of the fans and total commitment from his squad will be decisive in finally kickstarting the Ligue 1 Mobilis season.
