Juan Sartori sent a message to Sunderland fans after celebrating the 2-1 Tyne-Wear derby win with Kyril Louis-Dreyfus at St James's Park.

According to Sunderland Echo, the co-owners were pitchside before kick-off taking in the occasion, then reappeared after full-time on the concourse and near the away section to applaud supporters.

Régis Le Bris’ injury-hit side trailed early but produced a controlled second half, with Brian Brobbey striking late to seal the comeback as 2,000 travelling fans erupted.

The result extended Sunderland’s unbeaten run to 11 league meetings with Newcastle and delivered a first league double over their rivals since 2014-15. Newcastle remain without a league derby win since 2011 and have not beaten Sunderland at St James's Park in the league since 2010.

Chemsdine Talbi also made history, becoming the youngest Sunderland player to score against Newcastle in the Premier League at 20 years and 317 days. After the game, Sartori posted: “Last minute. Away from home. Sunderland 2-1. What a win. All heart. Right to the very end.”
