Juarez ‘make enquiry’ for Grêmio midfielder Camilo | OneFootball

Grêmio plan to advance a squad overhaul following Luis Castro’s arrival, and Juarez have made an enquiry for midfielder Camilo, according to Rádio Bandeirantes.

With 35 players under contract, the club’s priority is to cut the wage bill, particularly by moving on those unlikely to be used. Camilo joined at the start of this year and has not met expectations.

The Mexican side have sought details on the player’s contract and what would be required for a potential transfer.

Grêmio are now awaiting a formal offer before discussing terms with Camilo and his representatives. The initial stance across any bids for the current squad is to secure immediate revenue through sales.

Camilo is contracted until December 2027. The fee paid has not been disclosed, and there is a FIFA process that could lead to a transfer ban over 750,000 dollars, around R$ 4.1 million, owed to Akhmat Grozny for his signing.
