Jude Bellingham’s purple patch continued in Real Madrid’s 1-0 victory against Celta Vigo as he scored the decisive strike to ensure his side three important points.
Bellingham has already exceeded expectations at Madrid by hitting the ground running after his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Having scored in the two previous games, the English midfielder made it three in a row after heading home Joselu’s cross in the 81st minute.
Rodrygo had a great chance to break the deadlock not long before, but his penalty was saved by Celta keeper Ivan Villar.
The home side did their best to keep Los Blancos at bay, but they couldn’t prevent Bellingham from coming out on top late in the game.
Not only did he score the winning goal, but the former Birmingham City star also delivered another world-class performance.
The 20-year-old’s stellar form – four goals and an assist in three games – has coincided with Los Blancos’ undefeated run in La Liga – they currently top the table with nine points.
The Three Lions midfielder is also currently the league’s top scorer and it’s no wonder Carlo Ancelotti calls him the successor to Karim Benzema.
Bellingham’s goal efficiency has notably increased at Madrid thanks to Ancelotti handing him a free role.
He is already becoming a fan favourite at Santiago Bernabeu and will look to continue to deliver the goods in the upcoming games.
